About Us

We are located at 495 6th Street in downtown Courtenay, British Columbia. Our trained staff focus on providing support to 30 adults who are neurodiverse through our person-centered two core day-programs: Quest Personal Development Program; and Community Options Program.

Our facility serves as our base of operations. Each month we have a calendar of events and activities that keep our Participants actively involved in community inclusion. We have a fleet of vans to assist with transportation to community activities and programs at the Community Recreation Centre, L’Arche, Evergreen Seniors Centre, and North Island College.

We support each Participant by creating Individual Service Plans, have person-centered programming and offer two social enterprises Participants can get involved with – Litterbusters and Pet Treat Bakery.

Our Mission

“Our mission is to foster community, honour diversity, recognize strengths, encourage participation and provide opportunities for the people we serve to enjoy a rich and rewarding life.”

Governance

At the Beaufort Association for Inclusion, we take pride in adhering to the regulations outlined in the British Columbia Societies Act, as well as following the guidelines set forth in our Constitution and By-Laws. As a federally registered charity with Revenue Canada, we have the ability to receive donations and provide tax-deductible receipts.

Our operations are led by a dedicated nine-member Board of Directors who are elected from the general membership at our Annual General Meeting. The Board sets policies, directs the organization, and convenes monthly meetings to ensure that we are operating effectively. Our day-to-day operations are managed by our experienced Executive Director, and our skilled Adult Support Workers, who are trained in various fields such as Community Support and Health and Personal Care, help to carry out our mission.
